| Sub Domains Or Single Domains |

There are many pros and contras when it comes to building sites using sub domains on a single domain, or using many topic oriented single domains.
I believe each type of site building has its own advantage and disadvantage.
To use a single domain with sub-domains, you need to take a very general domain name dan have connection with your sub-domains. And it is better be short. This kind of domain name, usually very hard to find. Remember, you need to pick a good domain name in terms of SEO. Once you have a general single domain name, then it is would be easy for you to build and maintain your websites. And it's economical too since you only have to pay for one domain.
In case of using a single domain for each topic, you have the freedom to choose a very specific domain name. You have the flexibility to choose a name that search engine like plus targeting your audience. It has a trade-off of course: higher maintenance cost.
If you are concern about how well you will be ranked in SEO using either method, you can take SiteSell (http://www.sitesell.com/cashflowism) as an example. Its sub-domains ranked well in Google. So, I believe there is no different in terms of SEO for both methods.
